The single most important tool for a semi-longhair coat. Rotating stainless teeth lift and separate the fine undercoat where mats begin — behind the ears, under the arms, along the britches — without pulling. Two or three passes a week keeps a ragdoll mat-free.
I tried three brushes before this. The rotating teeth actually get down to where the mats start behind the ears, and my ragdoll tolerates it far better than the slicker I was using. Two passes twice a week and she's completely mat-free.
Solid, heavy, beautifully made. Feels like a proper tool rather than a pet-store afterthought. The walnut handle is a nice touch.
Works exactly as described once you get the angle right. Took me a couple of sessions to stop catching the skin near the britches, but now it glides. Would recommend to any ragdoll owner.
Our breeder recommended it and I finally caved. Night and day difference from the cheap comb I had. My boy now leans into grooming instead of running away.
